this alphadecay shit is givin me the creeps. i like to think i'm a pretty tough dude but put me in front of a scary movie and it's like i'm some five-year-old cryin for his momma. i probably just need a pretty girl to watch it with. ;] <-- (e-flirting with the whole internet, all the kids are doin it) i'm def down for seeing more though, it's ten times better than half the shit they put on tv now.

so i'm thinkin about doing something for that iholo patriotism contest, cuz who doesn't want an iholo version 8? not that i'm gonna win or anything, but if i do write the greatest poem of the 21st century, maybe i should ask the repository to pay my tuition next year.
anyway, no guarantees on the patriotism. but i promise to keep my fans updated, one love.

i'm all for people tryin to lose weight, more power to you, fight the good fight, but: soy =/= meat. let's be real with ourselves. stop tryin to sell me bacon in that attractive packaging and then i take it home to find out that it says SOY BACON (font is true to size).

i never saw the old west side story but i hope this one's got black people in it. because everything else does right now, you know what i'm saying? first batman, then bootylicious, then the west siiiide (story).
otherwise: still jobless in the city. thinkin about blowing the last of my cash on those self-help books or writing a sad poem about it in my diary and moving on. the 2nd one sounds more like something i would do but the first is probably gonna at least get me a date with some pretty girl out there ;) (because god helps those who help themselves. he helps them with social lives.)

Damon sits in front of the camera, smiling. In his right hand he holds a half-eaten cheeseburger. A pen is tucked behind his left ear. There is a poster of an aging Kanye West behind him on the wall.
My brother's a juvenile delinquent. I knew this from the minute he, at the ripe ol' age of twelve, told me to keep an eye out as he shoved sticks of gum into the pocket of his baggy-ass jeans when I went to buy milk. That damn fool...anyway, I figure one of us Rogers men has gotta keep it civilized around here, so it looks like I'm joinin' the crowds of unemployed college folk lookin' for a job. Anybody gonna help me out? I don't steal, I don't curse - most of the time - and I even promise to put on a belt and leave the triple X-L t-shirts for when I'm doin' my drug deals on the side.
Damon pauses to show off a smile that he hopes is sparkling. The smile of a champion! He takes a bite of his cheeseburger, savors it, and then shuts off the camera.

palm sunday, palms up, hearts of palm, palming nickel candies at the five-and-dime, palm pilot, palm trees.
anybody think palm sunday is a reasonable excuse to skip classes on monday? i need a full day to recover from all of that lord praisin'. the hallelujahs really took it out of me this year. i shouted amen so much that i can't even participate in intellectual class discussion.

i don't know 'bout any of y'all but i'm mad excited to celebrate my irish roots tomorrow. now i'm gonna be honest, i don't even know what st paddy's day is all about but word on the street is it requires wearing green and actin' a fool. i'm over here like, "yo, i do that every single day." so just call me damon o'rogers and i'll make sure to spin you a story all about how my irish ancestors came over to escape the potato famine...
